Must be a First-time Homebuyer
Must use the home as your primary residence
Must be a family of 3 or more with a household income at or below 60% AMI (see chart below)
Must demonstrate the ability to meet monthly housing cost obligations
Must have Completed the Far South CDC 6-hour Homebuyer Education Workshop between January 1, 2021, and May 14, 2022 (Final Class) REGISTER HERE:
Winner must agree to live in the home for a minimum 10 years and to refrain from using of the home as collateral on any loan or with any other type of creditor for the first 5 years of possession.
Winner must complete a one-on-one counseling session with a Far South CDC HUD counselor prior to May 31, 2022
Winner must also agree to participate in Far South CDC Financial Coaching and Post-purchase workshops recommended by the counselor
Winner must agree to participate in monthly check-ins with a counselor for the first six months and quarterly check-ins through year two.

*Runners up will be notified no later than May 23, 2022.
*Finalist will be required to upload a video submission about the impact winning the home will have on your life (details to follow)
*Winner will be selected by a panel, based on meeting all stated requirements and their video submission.
*Winner will be announced at the Far South CDC's Juneteenth Celebration on June 18, 2022 (Details to follow)
